The Rudd with The Reasons for $90BN in NBN spending for replacement broadband
A few days ago of The Rudd spoke to the press in Western Sydney about the unimaginable benefits the NBN will bring.
Using the Rudd rationale you could get funding for anything if you thought it might deliver unknown and unimagined benefits in the future.
There is no business on earth, no bank, no mum or dad - and certainly no competent government that would take other people's money and "invest" it for a purpose that might deliver unimagined benefits and unknown new good things down the track.
There is no known purpose that the NBN will be put to that justifies The Rudd's excitement. So the sell-job is about unimaginable benefits.
The costs, sadly are all too real and building.
