Islamism - a separate blog?

I am a product of my life experience and I can't change that, it's just in me.

I know that I have a very different tolerance for horror than say my wife the Czechoslovakian Princess.

At the Victoria Police Academy (and hello to all my squad mates who come to the blog) we had to attend the old Dickensian morgue down at what is now the Docklands precinct in Melbourne (and it was after a particularly big night at the nightclub de jour, ZuZu's).

We first spent 30 minutes or so in the large room with about 100 bodies on guernies.   I will never forget a little 3 year old girl who looked angelic with blonde curls and one open blue eye, lying in the middle of a 7' long stainless steel trolley.   We were shown the track marks on a prostitute who had overdosed the night before.  All the bodies in that room had their name written in large black texta on their left thigh.

We were taken into a deep freeze room which stored unidentified cadavers.   Because of space considerations, those bodies were frozen and then stored upright, standing in a terrribly macabre and ghostly way.

We were then ushered into the autopsy room where we were invited to cover our mouths while bone chips and other material were discharged by a saw that separated an elderly gentleman's upper skull.

The purpose was to show us the way to the morgue, the procedures for checking in bodies (a duty police have to attend to quite frequently) and of course to harden us up so that we could endure the duties we'd be called on to perform in your name.

We had to sit through what some would call "snuff flicks" watching people who had been killed or who killed themselves in violent circumstances.   I've also been in the army for 8 years and part of that included doing firepower demonstrations at Kapooka where I was on staff for 3 years.   I have a very good sense of automatic weapons and their deadly capabilities.

So I'm aware that I just look at some horrible videos and stories online about Jihadis, beheadings, stone-age Islamist behaviours and while it disgusts me I probably don't get the full sense of the outrage people with a more cultivated background might feel at the unwanted exposure.

Which brings me to a question for you, the people to whom I feel a very deep personal responsibility.

Would you like me to open a subsidiary blog page, with an address that's hard to get to and must be specifically sought out on which I can post the range of genuine and often horrific examples of the Islamist ideology at work?

I think I have a good enough sense of response rates to garner a view just on the comments.   Please have a think, pass this message on to friends and let me know how you feel about the issue.
