Thank you to everyone who has made a contribution to this site over the 3 and a bit weeks we've been operating.   I am in awe of the quality of the contributions on this site - just pick a post at random and read through the blog comments - considered, thoughtful, real-world wisdom with not a skerrick of spin.

I am also quite humbled at your material support for our work.   I am trying to work through a  "veritable tsunami" (to quote a radio institution) of emails and now bank transfer advices.  I will do my best to say thanks to everyone personally.

I am very optimistic about the direction of this blog and the power and influence that so many wise voices represented here can and will have.   It's great to be back and in touch again with so many people I've known from the radio days.   In so may ways the audience here is larger and I think the medium potentially much more influential in holding governments to account.  Let's see!
