The Offender Craig Thomson MP - Maintain the Rage
Wednesday, 19 September 2012
The Offender Craig Thomson used your parliament's time (and the tacit support of the sub-prime Minister) to spin you a cock and bull story about that mystery guy that ate the dog's homework or something.
In essence, The Offender stated that someone else used his HSU credit card, his licence, his mobile phone and his face to convince the folks at Keywed Pty Ltd (and that other guy emboldened by his initial success used the same dastardly MO at other establishments) to procure the services of prostitutes. Oh and when the bills turned up on the self-approving, revolving-line-of-pleasure HSU member-funded credit card, Craig paid the bills because he didn't understand what it was and it was only $2,475 of other people's money anyway. And when the bills turned up again he paid them again. And again. And again. And again....
Well you may have forgotten this. The procurements took place in NSW, that is someone got their money's worth of jollys at NSW adult service boutiques. Had it not been Craig, it would have been a fraud on Craig. Craig says that is the case, he as the joint cardholder (with the HSU) was defrauded by that really smart guy.
But here is where he came a cropper. NSW Police have examined the matter of who got their money's worth. They say there was no fraud. Got that? No fraud in NSW. The cardholder, Craig Thomson, was not defrauded. NSW Police are silent on the issue of who Craig might have defrauded when the bills came in - that transaction took place in Victoria where the accounts were held. Thus the involvement of the Victoria Police.
I'll say it again just so we're sure here. NSW Police have investigated Craig's claim that the really smart guy did all the Barney from Mission Impossible stuff and got the services on Craig's card. It wasn't Barney. No one was defrauded. The corollary of that finding is that it was you Craig.
So I thought you would be interested in this letter from the world's leading expert on the forensic science of handwriting analysis, Paul Westwood OAM. Paul wrote to the shadow Attorney General to describe some of the work that I asked him to do in analysing the signature on the credit card (the questioned, or unknown signature) and comparing it to several samples of a known signature of The Offender Craig Thomson MP (the known samples). Happy reading.
And the sub-prime Minister merrily goes to work every day knowing that The Offender maintains his seat and Labor's majority. Meanwhile, back at the hospital boiler-room laundry......
