Great news for Minister Albanese - now responsible for Local Government as well as Regional Development, Infrastructure and Transport

Anthony Albanese has been promoted by Julia Gillard. Here's the PM's press release about her cabinet re-shuffle.

Along with his existing responsibilities in Infrastructure and Transport - the Minister now adds responsibility for Regional Development and for Local Government.

Local Government is a portfolio with which Anthony Albanese is well versed. In the first Rudd Government Ministry Minister Albanese was the Minister for Local Government, from 3 December, 2007 to 14 September, 2010.
