This is the legislation that authorises the Commonwealth to make grants of money - this legislation is for last year, 2012.

As reader "The Anonymous Investigative Genius" points out, Part 3 of the Act sets out the Commonwealth's grants to persons other than a state or territory.   The grants of your money are listed by department.   Some of it is unarguably good stuff (compo for the de-seal/re-seal F-111 fuel tank victims) but heaps of it is such bulltish it's infuriating to read it.

From the time I clicked on my mouse and started to highlight the text of these grants, it took 90 odd seconds until the job was done.   I've pasted the grant info into a word document - it's 61 pages long and you'll find it at the bottom of this post.

Right now you're probably thinking what I was thinking when I first opened up this document.   The Commonwealth's huge, it's got to buy lots of stuff, rent offices, buy cars, get supplies and stuff.  That's all true and totally irrelevant to this list.

THESE ARE ALL GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.   THE MONEY IS HANDED OVER AS A GRANT.
