What did Craig Thomson ask for at this week's Federal Court hearing of Fair Work Australia's matter against him

I wasn't in the court but I have now received copies of Mr Thomson's application to the court heard on 18 April (this Thursday).

There's been a lot of reporting about costs, publicity, mental anguish, preparation time etc etc etc.

For me it seems to have been a much simpler application based in what appears to be black and white law.

Mr Thomson asked the Court to do this:

Craig thomson interlocutory order
In other words Mr Thomson asked the Court to put his civil matter on hold until the criminal proceedings against him have been concluded (thinking ahead our Craig, he added "excluding any appeal").

Mr Thomson's lawyer Mr McArdle told the Court in an Affidavit that:

Craig thomson interlocutory mccardle
I understand that His Honour Justice Christopher Jessup has reserved judgment on whether to postpone all or any part of Fair Work Australia's case - reserved means he's gone away to think about his judgement and he'll deliver it on a future date.   I'm told that Mr Thomson will be in the Melbourne Magistrate's Court on May 22 for a mention of the Committal proceedings he faces over the criminal charges made against him by Detective Sergeant John Tyquin.
