Must be bored this morning - Garut Provence in West Java featured in yesterdays newspaper article - I have Google Earthed it and had a look round.

Yellow lines are "highways" - light green are providential borders which follow the rivers when near the coast. 

Top insert shows position relative to Christmas Island - bottom insert shows typical river mouth - I've run a few bars in my time but this one looks bloody dangerous with a heavy sea - typical of river mouths I looked at along this coast. Zooming right down (you can see the huts) there does not appear to be any large numbers of fishing boats moored or beached anywhere. Country side is extremely remote.

At the meeting pages and pages like this one were completed by members.

There were mail-in forms - nothing was left to chance.

Leadership positions were formally nominated and approved with minuted records.

And this extract from Victoria's Consumer Affairs Department can be taken as a certificate to prove that the Association was indeed incorporated.

 

You may wish to jump ahead and quickly check the AWU WRA Ms Gillard set up for Bruce.  You'll find a big difference from the Rules/Constitution of the Socialist Forum and the AWU-WRA.   Which is funny, because Ms Gillard told her boss that she based the AWU WRA on the Socialist Forum rules.

But we're not going to deal with the AWU WRA next.   We'll be looking  at another Workplace Reform Association.   It was a Workplace Reform Association that really did things - things like hosting a conference in Melbourne attended by 722 delegates, including Prime Minister Hawke.

Fortunately for us, the conference proceedings have been preserved in this 300 odd page book!

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, GARUT - A total of 74 illegal immigrants from the Middle East secured Garut police on Thursday (09/19/2013). Those bound for Australia via the Garut regency, was arrested in the District Leles.
Garut District Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Arif Rachman said, the immigrants came from Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan. They consisted of 7 children, 45 adult males and 22 adult females.
"They were arrested at 00.00 when a vehicle driven pumping gas at the pump in the District Leles. Arrest was made by police and handed over to the Police Leles Garut," said Arif Rachman.
All of these immigrants, while housed in the Hall Mapolres Garut. They get breakfast, lunch, and medicine. 12:30, they were taken to the Immigration Office Tasikmalaya uses two buses with police escort Garut.

I don't agree with the aims of the Socialist Forum but you have to admire their love of writing things down and being sticklers for detail.   They met every couple of week.   Over the next year they not only met regularly, they also recorded everything in writing, names, addresses, times/dates spouses were out of town, it's all in the files.

My point is that Socialist Forum INC did what was asked of it by the law to become a properly incorporated and registered separate legal entity.   Ms Gillard took instructions and acted on those clear instructions.

About one year later, they were ready to go and this letter was sent to all and sundry.

There are two steps  - the people listed here associated with each other for a joint purpose.   Then they agreed to incorporate their association to give it a separate legal personality from themselves.
