Katarina won't be reading this, she's on a plane on the way home to me and she'll be here at 11.30 tonight.

I have no right to have put Katarina what I have put her through over the past two and a bit years.

Katarina and I met when I was the highly-respected and well connected Managing Director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.   Our life together was wonderful.

I was also Chairman of the Board of the University of Queensland business school and after I'd given a speech to a business conference in Brisbane the boss of radio 4BC invited me to take on a one hour every day radio show at 7PM.   I did that and kept the orchestra job.  After 6 months the radio station asked me to do the drive show fulltime.

In August, 2011 I interviewed Craig Thomson.   That led to Kathy Jackson and me forming a trusting professional relationship.   It also led to Bob Kernohan and me meeting.

Sadly, all of that led to the conscious destruction of my professional career and to anyone who takes their lead from the press - the destruction of my professional reputation.

I am deeply in your debt for your donations of money to keep this website going, thank you, but today is not about money.   A lifestyle like mine where I'm tethered to the moderation of comments and the continual feeding of the site makes a lousy life for a beautiful bride.

I'd have no regrets if it was just me.   But I'm a father and a husband.   Katarina does not deserve the venom that a spiteful and hateful body politic has thrown her way - I still get daily Google news alerts about my wife and my wedding.   Katarina was depicted like Ivana Trump in one cartoon, charming.
