A fresh line of enquiry for the Royal Commission into Unions, the AWU, Ms Gillard and her partner Bruce Wilson Pt 2
You know that Bruce Wilson received his sham redundancy from the AWU and took off in August/September 1995.
By mid-November he was in business - in a proprietary limited company named Kalcode Holdings Pty Ltd. His co-director was Mark Barnes. Remember him?
Well Mark Barnes's name is on the front of that cheque. But he is also named on the back of Jim Collins's cheque, in a distinctive handwriting.
And what's endorsed on the back of that cheque?
You can read more about the redudancy cheques that Chris Hayes signed here.
But I'm sure you want to know about Rhumbarallas and Kalcode Holdings.
Here is a link to the Western Australian Government Gazette of Friday, 22 March 1996.
And on page 1459 this entry records Kalcode Holdings Pty Ltd making its application for a licence for premises situate at Northbridge and known as Rhumbarallas.
So - who was behind Kalcode Holdings Pty Ltd.
The entire ASIC listing is here.
By 5 June 1997 Rhumbarallas in Northbridge had died an unnatural death.
But that was only the Rhumbaralla's in Northbridge Perth, WA.
Who knows where people get their inspiration for business names. Sitting around drinking coffee with your clandestine lover/legal adviser can do it.
Right near a certain hairdressers and just around the corner from the love-shack and workplace-reforming multi-purpose contributory-mortgage-funded money laundering facility.
