Qantas flight attendant Jo-Ann Davidson has been called

Ms Davidson's statement has been adopted into evidence.

Ms Davidson states that Tony Sheldon offered to fund her campaign to head up the Flight Attendant's union.   Funding was provided through the McLean Foundation but Ms Davidson is not sure how much money was sent her way.

She states that she had no idea that a certain printer had been engaged on behalf of her campaign and that she had no part in the drafting of a certain letter that was distributed on her behalf.

Ms Davidson said that when she had the conversation with Mr Sheldon about how he could assist her campaign she was assured that it was all legal and that it was a separate fund from the TWU.

She did not tell FAA members that she was receiving funding from an entity associated with another union.

Ms Davidson has been shown a statement made on her campaign material which states no FAA or company resources have been used to produce this material.  "it is something that voters want to know, who is funding union officials campaigns.'

Ms Davidson gives the curious answer that it is not something voters should be entitled to know as to whether or not a separate entity is funding a campaign.

THE COMMISSION IS ADJOURNED UNTIL 10AM TOMORROW.   WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT FOR TONY.
