CFMEU Royal Commission - Michael Bonnici is in the witness box

Mr Bonnici is a former site supervisor with West Homes Pty Ltd.

He has been sworn and is in the witness box. He has described a dispute with the owner of West Homes, Mr Chiavaroli. He has claimed that the Chiavarolis owe him a substantial amount of money and that there was a significant dispute between him and the Chiavarolis.

The Commission heard an audio and video recording of the meeting in which Mr Bonnici alleges Mr Chiaravoli was argumentative and abusive.

Mr Stoljar, "I say that you are not a witness of truth and that your witness statement has been prepared for the purpose of damaging the Chiavarolis, what do you say to that?

Bonnici, "I say that's false.

Mr Bonnici's witness statement was prepared by Slater and Gordon.

Mr Stoljar has completed his examination. Mr Agius will not re-examine his client today.

At 10.25 Mr Bonnici was excused.
