Mr Katsis has been sworn, he has made a few corrections to his witness statement, he has "absolutely" adopted the statement which has been tendered and received into evidence (some legal argument lingers over certain paragraphs of that statement that Counsel Assisting wants out and Counself for the HSU wants in).

Mr Katsis gave evidence that he has known Ms Asmar for 10 years, he worked with her on the Darebin Council.   He has never been employed in a union before this job.   He states he was not involved in Ms Asmar's campaign.  He states that he did his own Right of Entry Test.   He states that he sat his own test all by himself.

Mr Katsis gave an elaborate and wholly unnecessary account of the apparent stupidity of some of the questions in the test in answer to a simple question - did you sit your own test?

At 1030 the hearing was adjourned for 10 minutes.

Counsel for Robert McCubbin is now cross examining Mr Katsis.   He put to Mr Katsis that he had a significant role in Ms Asmar's 2009 election campaign, driving him around.   Mr Katsis said it was adhoc and not a full time role. 

At 10.45 Mr Katsis was excused.
