Here is the funding aftermath off the Rudd Gillard Rudd years for the ABC - first up the Rudd budget in 2009/10 (the ABC is funded in rolling 3 year periods).

An extra $165 million in the kick courtesy of Kev.   Nice.  

Then along came Julia Gillard (whose former office at Slater and Gordon was at that exact time being raided by Victoria Police.    The ABC managed to report not one word of the fact of a sitting Prime Minister being the named subject of a police search warrant.  Victoria's Chief Magistrate would eventually deliver a finding that Gillard's legal work uncovered by the raid in the AWU WRA matter had been done in the "furtherance of fraud".  But you can't report that when there's $190M in extra funding from the gal at stake.)

$70M to "expand" its news services and $90M extra to house all the extra workers.

Why?

So we can be subjected to crap like this on the television.
