CPSU glee over politically motivated strikes

TAKING PROTECTED STRIKE ACTION IN JUNE

JUN 09, 2015

INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS AND DELEGATES

We are asking all members in eligible agencies to take half day strike action and attend mass meetings starting next week.

RSVP FOR YOUR STRIKE AND MASS MEETING HERE APS REGISTRATION OR DHS REGISTRATION

If you are having any trouble using the registration link, please email us.

It is critical that every member participate in the action. We know the Government is paying close attention to the level of support for our industrial action so this is an opportunity to send a clear message to your agency and the Government about your rights, conditions and real wages.

We also know that previous action we have taken has caused the Government to shift its position on keeping 15.4% super in new agreements. It has also led to a small shift in how productivity is defined, which is seeing some small improvements in pay offers.

WE NEED YOU TO

  1. Register your particiaption online APS registration or DHS registration
  2. Talk to members about the strike and mass meetings
  3. Display posters and distribute flyers in your workplace
  4. Encourage non-members to join and support the action.

WHO IS TAKING PART?

The agencies taking the June strike action are: DHS, ATO, DVA, Defence, Agriculture, Employment, the Australian Institute of Criminology, Geoscience Australia, CSIRO, Environment, Bureau of Meteorology, National Library of Australia, ABS, Education and Immigration/Customs. To find out your stoppage time, contact your local CPSU delegate or organiser or call us on 1300 137 636.
