Brian "Sparkles" Parker has been reinstated as NSW Branch Secretary of the CFME

Brian Parker and his mobile phone of record are back.

All the George Alex allegations in the world are no impediment to holding the top job at the CFMEU.

The CBUS leak - no problem.

Police phone intercepts record his plans to bash blokes and put them in hospital - boys will be boys.

Apparently false testimony - likewise.

Even a memory that's so rat-shit Sparkles  could organise his own surprise party - that's no drama either.

Two whistle-blowers were sacked from the CFMEU for speaking out about corruption.  They lose everything so Brian and the good ole boys can maintain the status quo.

Noonan, O'Connor, Shorten and the networked mates spout the platitudes about no time for corruption.   But when it come to the crunch, CFMEU-money talks, bullshit walks.   And Brian Parker is back.

Here's the Fin Review

CFMEU's NSW boss Brian Parker makes defiant return

by Ewin Hannan Workplace Editor

Controversial construction union leader Brian Parker has unexpectedly resumed his leadership of the union's NSW branch, in an apparent act of defiance against the Royal Commission Into Trade Union Governance and Corruption.

Mr Parker, who was subject to adverse findings in the commission's interim report, only stood down from his position in June.

It had been anticipated that Mr Parker would stand aside for the remainder of the year while the commission continued its investigations into the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union.

Following inquiries by The Australian Financial Review over the weekend,  the union released a one-line statement on Sunday confirming that Mr Parker had "resumed his duties'' as NSW secretary.

Dave Noonan, the national secretary of the union's construction  division, refused over the weekend to explain why Mr Parker was returning to his position.

ENDS

In December 2014 The Royal Commission's Interim Report referred Brian Parker to:

Divisional Branch Management Committee of the New South Wales branch of the Construction and General Division of the CFMEU in order that consideration may be given to whether any action should be taken against Brian Parker under r 51 of the Rules for the Construction and General Division of the CFMEU to investigate whether Mr Parker:

  1. (i)  has engaged in gross misbehaviour;

  2. (ii)  has grossly neglected his duty;

  3. (iii)  has conversed in an abusive or derogatory manner towards any person;

  4. (iv)  has made statements which impugn the character and integrity of fellow officials; or

  5. (v)  should be removed from office (Chapter 8.4 and 8.5).

By the looks of things quite the opposite has taken place.
