"We" "need" to continue pushing for the wage gap to be lowered?

What if the ticket sales and television ratings don't produce the revenue. I'd have thought this should be a function of the market rather than a "need" that "we" have to address. That "we" stuff sounds more like Rudd or Gillard to me.
