Slater and Gordon knew about the AWU WRA and the conveyance link.  Did not inform AWU.

Geoff  Shaw obtained independent legal advice from law firm Philips Fox as to the firm’s obligation (the Masel conferences referred to in the Privilege writ to the Supreme Court)

I'm sure Mr Shaw had substantial dealings with Phillips Fox.   But he could not have received independent legal advice from Phillips Fox.Phillips Fox acted for Slater and Gordon's legal professional indemnity insurer the Legal Professional Liablity Committee.

I don't know when Cambridge's Affidavit was read into evidence - but given it was sworn on 19 September, had to be served on other parties, finally lodged then all the objections etc gone through, it would probably have taken a couple of months.

"If Cambridge isn't stopped, we're all history" ring any bells?

Ian Cambridge was appointed to the NSW Industrial Relations Commission just over two months later.

MUCH MORE SOON.
