Another ‘weak as piss’ day for the so-called NSW Justice system...

Perhaps this is more pronounced because it failed the families of two close friends in two separate decisions on the one day.

Case 1: Drugged up woman with bad history runs down and changes Glenn Wheeler's life forever. She was high on cannabis when she drove over him on his way to work. Magistrate convicted her of negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm but thought it best she do no gaol time. Glenn and his family will pay for the consequences of her actions for the rest of his life. Justice failure.

Case 2: My father’s life-long mate Peter Wem was killed when a fuel tanker rolled and exploded on Mona Vale Road. Peter was one of two who died terribly that day. His poor wife tried to rescue him from the wreckage as he was caught as the petrol erupted into a ball of fire. The truck driver was convicted of negligent driving causing death. The so-called judge gave him a fine.

Kill two people through negligence - not bad enough to go to gaol? Leave a man permanently disabled, while driving off your head on illegal drugs.

What does it take to get a jail sentence in NSW ? What do you say to the Wheeler and the Wem family ?
