We often see a leader's name used to describe his or her term as PM - the "Abbott Government" or the "Gillard Government".
But I've never seen the Australian Government describe a program paid for by taxpayers as being brought to you by anything other than the Australian Government.
Today Turnbull takes the cake on ego and chutzpah. Certain taxpayer funded benefits are available only if children have been vaccinated.
Secondly, it's taxpayer money, which (unless it's clearly marked as political advertising) is usually given the Australian Government coat of arms.
So here's how the official Twitter service of the Prime Minister of Australia promotes the scheme.
Is it Government advertising for a Government service? It appears to be. So what the hell is The Turnbull Government?
We're all Turnbullians now.
Welcome to Turnbull, You're Standing In It.
