Today is Memorial Day in the United States. We will remember them.
A man who doesn't know whether he is a man or woman has no place in our Army

Peter Dutton undermines his own message "a change in government will not see a change in (boats) policy"

Yesterday I was at a very busy cheap restaurant in Malaysia packed with Middle Eastern looking people.

I spoke with the man behind the counter about a large pile of brochures from the Australian and Malaysian Government.

He showed me two boxes of the 12 page brochures that'd been delivered to him and explained his restaurant was paid to distribute the brochures.  The messages are in Arabic, Bengali, Burmese, Dari, Farsi, Kurmanji, Sorani, Pashto, Tamil and Urdu.

When I said I was Australian a large crowd grew around me, these people all had iPhones or Samsungs and very quickly showed me websites and Facebook pages about immigration.

The consensus view was that the brochure was bullshit and that things would change if Labor got in.   Their authority?   Minister Dutton.

It's all very well to have taxpayer money spent on glossy brochures with the Australian Government and Malaysian Government saying this:

But the Minister is undermining his own message and loading the funnels with people who are keen to try their chances.

I know the LNP is keen to exploit political differences - but if we are serious in stopping the evil trade (and let me make no bones about this, there are evil, evil people involved in bringing similarly evil people to Australia) then it behoves both parties to get with the program.
