In a sign of the times, babyccino and long black are among more than 6000 new words and phrases officially recognised in the second edition of the Australian National Dictionary.

But the latest release also includes iconic Aussie fare such as battered sav, chiko roll, dagwood dog and fairy bread.
“Carry on like a pork chop”, “couldn’t run a chook raffle”, and “a cup of tea, a Bex and good lie down” are included in the definitions and history of 16,000 words and phrases unique to Australia.
Oxford University Press boss Peter van Noorden, who released the second edition of the Australian National Dictionary – its first comprehensive update since 1988 – credited former prime minister Tony Abbott with adding colour to the Australian language.“We’re a bit disappointed that Tony Abbott isn’t as prevalent anymore on our TV screens,” van Noorden said at Parliament House in Canberra today.
“He certainly brought us some beauties in terms of ‘shirt front’, which was a real winner. ‘Captain’s pick’ was a beauty as well and he sort of the became the poster boy for ‘budgie smuggler’.”
The Australian National Dictionary now has definitions and the history of 16,000 words and phrases unique to Australia.
Launching the dictionary, Labor’s Andrew Leigh said: “To read a dictionary like this is to delight in the richness of the Australian language and to recognise it is a language that is always changing.
“May the third edition not be 28 years away.”

Now Five FBI Field Offices Are Probing Clinton Charity, Adding Fuel To The Fire

FBI field offices in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Little Rock, Ark., are investigating the Clinton Foundation concerning allegations of pay-to-play financial and political corruption, according to a report at The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) Sunday.
Mirroring information provided by a former senior law enforcement official that “multiple FBI investigations are underway involving potential corruption charges against the Clinton Foundation,” WSJ revelation confirms what The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group reported in August.
FBI field offices in three cities, specifically, New York, Little Rock and Washington, D.C., were coordinating with the U. S. Attorneys working in those cities. FBI agents in Miami are also joining the probe, TheDCNF has since learned.
The Clinton Foundation has numerous programs operating in Haiti, the Caribbean, Latin America and South America.
“Los Angeles agents had picked up information about the Clinton Foundation from an unrelated public corruption case and had issued some subpoenas for bank records related to the foundation” and described the unusual field office initiative as “at times a sprawling cross-country effort,” WSJ reports.
Several polls released Saturday and Sunday show a rapid deterioration of presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s lead in the wake of Friday’s disclosure by FBI Director James Comey that he is reopening the email server investigation. Comey said in August that he did not believe the FBI’s investigation of Clinton and her use of private servers and private email addresses to conduct official diplomatic business would be productive.
Comey’s announcement Friday was related to a separate investigation of child pornography allegations against former Rep. Anthony Weiner, a New York Democrat who is married to Clinton’s closest confidant, Huma Abedin. Weiner and Abedin separated earlier this year following a third disclosure of his sexting with an underage girl.
Also likely to raise new questions about the Obama administration’s political interference in the case was the WSJ’s revelation that Department of Justice (DOJ) officials repeatedly tried to shut down FBI field investigations.
An unidentified senior Justice Department official “voice(d) his displeasure at finding that New York FBI agents were still openly pursuing the Clinton Foundation probe,” according to WSJ.
The Justice Department official “was pissed off” that the Foundation investigation was ongoing.
“Are you telling me that I need to shut down a validly predicated investigation?,” FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe asked the unidentified official, as quoted by WSJ. “Of course not,” the unnamed official reportedly replied.
Other agents “further down the FBI chain of command, however, said agents were given a much starker instruction on the case: ‘Stand down,’” WSJ reported.
The D.C. field office was “probing financial relationships involving [Terry] McAuliffe before he became a Clinton Foundation board member,” according to WSJ.
McAuliffe, who is now Virginia’s Democratic governor and is a former Democratic National Committee chairman, was one of the first members of the Clinton Foundation’s board of directors and is the longest-serving director.
McAuliffe is among the most effective Democratic Party fundraising agents and is a part of the Clinton’s inner circle. McAuliffe also gave the Clintons $1.3 million, enabling them to buy an 11-room mansion in New York.
FBI Obtains Warrant for Newly Discovered Emails in Clinton Probe — as Reid Accuses Comey of Hatch Act Violation

The FBI obtained a warrant to search emails related to the Hillary Clinton private server probe that were discovered on ex-congressman Anthony Weiner's laptop, law enforcement officials confirmed Sunday.
The warrant came two days after FBI director James Comey revealed the existence of the emails, which law-enforcement sources said were linked to Weiner's estranged wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
The FBI already had a warrant to search Weiner's laptop, but that only applied to evidence of his allegedly illicit communications with an underage girl.

I understand that the agents investigating Weiner's weiner knew that the emails were on the computer, could see the files but were unable lawfully to examine them as the warrant they held until yesterday applied only to evidence related to Weiner's sex crimes.
That's all changed now. This is formal confirmation of the nature of the investigation the FBI is engaged in over Clinton.

Charles Ortel is the Wall Street analyst who blew the whistle on GE. He is widely regarded as the man who has caused the current FBI investigation into the Clinton corruption and frauds. Their friends will be caught in that net. Many here in Australia.
In his opening remarks on June 10, 2014 Jeremy Stoljar previewed what he believed the evidence would show as to the nature of the WRA.
“The proposition that the Association was generating invoices for work that was never done is corroborated by the fact that the Association appears to have been a mere contrivance.
There are no written records of any members. For example, there is no register of members. There are no records of any management committee meetings. The Association paid no tax. It had no accounts. It had no assets. The Association did not maintain any records at all, save for the documents lodged at its incorporation.
When it comes to employing a representative, there are no records of the basis on which a representative was allegedly engaged by the Association to carry out work for it. There are no records of wages paid by the Association to a person who attended at the Dawesville Channel project to provide workplace reform services. There are no records of what work that person is alleged to have done. There are no taxation records.
It will be submitted in due course that the above evidence establishes a number of matters, including the following.
The Association was established by Mr Wilson and Mr Blewitt. Mr Wilson was the driving force.
The Association was never more than a vehicle pursuant to which moneys were obtained through the provision of sham invoices. It did not engage in any genuine work.

He had personal contact with the Fort Hood shooter. He was killed in 2011 in a Yemen drone strike (the one that caused the controversy of targeting an American citizen)
Another chaplain at GWU's MSA (from at least October 1999 through April 2002) was Mohamed Omeish, who headed the International Islamic Relief Organization, which has been tied to the funding of al Qaeda. Omeish's brother, Esam, headed the Muslim American Society, the Muslim Brotherhood's quasi-official branch in the United States. Both Omeish brothers were closely associated with Abdurahman Alamoudi, who would later be convicted and incarcerated on terrorism charges."

State department issued a subpoena to CF in Fall of 2015, asked for records "related to Huma Abedin, longtime Clinton aide who for six months in 2012 was employed simultaneously by the State Department, the foundation, Clinton's personal office, and a private consulting firm with ties to the Clintons."
Huma was involved in simultaneous employment with the State Department, the CF, Clinton's personal office and a consulting firm close to the Clinton's. Seems really strange that someone would hold 4 jobs at once, no? Could be wrong but I think Huma's involvement goes much deeper than we thought.
Abedin was granted "special employee" status at state dept. with Hillary so that she could simultaneously retain a position with, of all orgs, Teneo (See sections on Teneo).

Our next foray into the CF was more than eighteen months ago on 24 April 2015.
We seriously started investigating from that point. Our first data source was the Austender website with a range of CF contributions recorded there. It also recorded contracts awarded to independent and highly qualified auditors to conduct end-of-contract reviews for the purported work done by the CF. Those audits have been critical in exposing the frauds.
On 28 August 2015 the first of Charles Ortel's 385 letters to me - thus far - arrived! "....Excellent work on this.....How might I get the complete list to all Clinton entities from 2002 to present---or is this the complete list?"

I am not familiar with Australian law, but there are some massive problems I see looking through the larger grants.
In the first place, "Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative" ("Old CHAI") operating from 225 Water Street in Quincy, MA was NEVER lawfully constituted inside the U.S. as a duly-authorized IRS-approved tax exempt entity.
Second, the Clinton Foundation was NEVER lawfully authorized to control Old CHAI.
Third, the Commonwealth of MA involuntarily reovoked (a bad thing involving charities in that it disqualifies a charity or purported charity from fundraising among other serious problems legally) the authority of Old CHAI to operate in MA effective 31 December 2007.
Nevertheless, Ira Magaziner (the notorious Chairman--google to see what I mean), Bill Clinton and others continued and continue to operate an entity they illegally formed (in connnivance with Lois Lerner's department inside the IRS--also worth googling) a similarly named Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. ("New CHAI") from an address on Dorchester Street in Boston.
Fourth, Ira Magaziner operated at least one for-profit entity from the exact same address, phone and fax number in Quincy in which Old CHAI was physically based---the manner in which he did so and failed to disclose repeatedly over years is strictly forbidden under U.S. law.
So, with this background, grants CN 60579 (generally for HIV/AIDS) of AUD 5,257,378.50 between 31 Jul 2006 and 30 Jul 2009, and CN 60580 (for China) between 31 Jul 2006 and 30 Sep 2009 of AUD 1,840,322,00 were made to a non-exempt, illegally constituted entity. I assume this is a problem under Australian law and in the countries where the monies ended up getting spent.
Portions of the grants CN 310696 (Papua New Guinea) of AUD 15,127,586.10 between 14 Aug 2006 and 31 Dec 2010, and CN 119937 (Indonesia) of AUD 4,323,000.00 between 1 Oct 2007 and 31 Oct 2010 had the same problems as mentioned in the immediately preceeding paragraph.
Portions received from 29 September 2009 forward should have gone to New CHAI--if they did not, then there are other problems to discuss.
One wonders how carefully the AUSAID "folks" audited their grants and who may have become corrupted in this process, assuming it actually occurred.
Do not feel bad, the Clintons defrauded much larger amounts (at least $566 million US) from UNITAID (google with Jerome Corsi to see what he has already written on this matter). They also defrauded the Gates Foundation and the Children's Investment Fund as well as numerous government donors.
Moreover, it is likely (google "Dirty Medicine" and Ranbaxy) that some of the HIV/AIDS drugs purchased with Australian money were actually fake/damaged and highly probable that the receipts tendered as evidence were forged/invented.
All told, our analysis of publicly available information only show that the Clinton Foundation, (12 Jul 2002 through 31 Dec 2013) has raised close to US $ 2 billion using false and materially misleading public disclosures. In this country, lesser offenses are felonies and punished with serious jail time.

Most interested to discuss whenever and however it proves convenient to you.
I hope the Australian government will become motivated to investigate this continuing affront to humanity, charity, and decency.

The various Clinton charitable foundations - you and I have given them at least $80M - and that's just the start.
In April this year we reported on a declaration by the Clinton foundation(s) that Australia had given it between $5 and $10 million.
Our search of the Austender website showed up around $30M in declared contracts between Australia and the Clintons. The Clinton Foundation is big news in the US, so I've had a closer look at just how much you might have enriched it.
$27M - 2013-2014 plus a $12 million contract with the foundation's Clinton Climate Initiative to help the Kenyan government calculate its greenhouse gas emissions in the story here
But there are other ways for a government to dole out our money to mates.
Kevin Rudd was the master of the grand gesture. In 2008 he gifted $400,000,000.00 of our money to a piece of chicanery unchallenged for primacy in the snake-oil stakes.
Here he is making his announcement, squished between a speech by Barack Obama and the class photo for some ignoble and unmemorable forum.
Note the decorous way attendees are ushered onstage to chat among themselves while the Rudd rudds. Various mobile phones beep to accompany the rapt attention given to this Australian Prime Minister as he announces his donation of $400 million of our money to do nothing.
They've conferenced in empire-style Parisian ballrooms and dined in Kyoto on food cooked by a genuine Iron Chef. But deeply disgruntled former staffers believe Australia's $300 million Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute has not achieved very much.
In 2008 the then prime minister Kevin Rudd decided a fledgling technology called carbon capture and storage was the key to two of his government's big aims: joining a successful international fight to reduce global warming and continuing to be the world's largest exporter of coal.
In his grandiloquent style, he promised $400 million to a new not-for-profit company, the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute, which would get CCS up and running at home and also "lead the world".
The funding was pared back over time, but industry and government sources and former staff of the institute are frustrated that much of the $300 million spent on the institute has been "squandered".
Even the man appointed to haul it away from government hand-outs and into the world of commercial reality - Brad Page, the former head of the peak electricity industry body - concedes the original $100 million a year "seed funding" given to the institute was more that it knew how to spend.
"It's actually impossible to spend that amount of money responsibly," he tells The Sun-Herald.
But his predecessors tried, in lavish ways that raised the ire of senior bureaucrats and ministers. Since 2009, more than $235 million has been delivered to the institute, $122 million of it already spent and another $113 million in its bank account, beyond the reach of Treasury's razor, information provided at a Senate estimates hearing reveals.
The institute has 78 staff, including nine permanent employees overseas - two in Washington, three in Tokyo and four in Paris. Former senior employees say its first chief executive, the British businessman Nick Otter, was paid well over $500,000 a year - more than the Prime Minister.
Page insists he has "no idea" what his predecessor was paid and his own salary is "nothing like that". The institute's five board members are paid from a budget of $400,000 a year and are entitled to first-class air travel.
The first members' meeting was in Canberra, where the institute is based, in early 2009. But its second, in November 2009, attended by more than 15 Australia-based staff, was in the luxurious ballroom of the InterContinental Hotel in Paris, opposite the Paris Opera and decorated in similar ornate style.
Both industry sources and former staff concede the jaw-dropping opulence sent "all the wrong messages" to the 180 members who attended.
"The spending was very difficult to justify," said one former employee.
And it did not end in Paris. In 2010 when they met in Kyoto, they enjoyed a dinner cooked by a celebrity Iron Chef ( the institute says his services were thrown in for no extra charge by the hotel).
Documents released under freedom of information show a staggering $54,257,000 was spent on "operational expenses" in the first two years.
After the money was handed over to the Institute, its financials were accounted for separately from Australian Government accounts so any money it spent with the Clintons may not appear in the amounts listed above. But the "Institute" was having trouble spending everything it had been given.

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Clinton Climate Initiative of the William J. Clinton Foundation.
Under the MOU Australia and the Clinton Climate Initiative will work together to help tackle climate change.
The MOU will see Australia and the William J. Clinton Foundation collaborate to;
Deploy carbon capture and storage technology to large scale projects.
Examine policies to encourage large scale solar power generation in Australia.
Design collaborative policies in conjunction with large cities and other organisations on improving energy efficiency.
The William J Clinton Foundation will work with the Australian Government through Australia's Global Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Initiative announced by Prime Minister Rudd last week.
This collaboration will help accelerate the development of CCS technology and pave the way for its commercial deployment by the end of the next decade.
The Clinton Climate Initiative will draw on its experience in international collaboration and work with Australia and other nations to help achieve a balanced portfolio of demonstration projects.
The Clinton Climate Initiative is already working with a number of Australian states to develop solar power facilities. The MOU will enable the Australian Government to explore opportunities to draw on the Clinton Climate Initiative expertise in considering policies to encourage large scale solar power generation in Australia.
The Australian Government is developing a national energy efficiency strategy as one of the keys to successfully addressing climate change.
The Government will draw on the experience the Clinton Climate Initiative has in working with large cities and other organizations on improving energy efficiency in the drafting of this strategy.
Australia and the Clinton Climate Initiative will also explore opportunities for collaboration in the energy efficiency area across government, business and the community.
I don't know how much went the Clintons way through this debacle - but it will be worth the Australian Government's while to find out. There's plenty of interest in the USA as Hilary Clinton considers a second tilt at the Presidency and lots of inquisitive minds who, like me, are digging tirelessly.
