NSW Greens MP who's spent "almost as much time" here as in native Pakistan tells BBC of Australia's racism

NSW Upper House MP Mehreen Faruqi who has told an international news service that Australia suffers from 'systematic racism'.

The Greens MP appeared on the BBC World Service program to speak about her Facebook project 'Love Letters to Mehreen', which she established to fight back against internet trolls.

Dr Faruqi is the first Muslim woman elected to any parliament in Australia and since joining the NSW Legislative Council in 2013 her office frequently receives 'racist and sexist' messages online.

'There is this real vile mix of racism and sexism that is happening within Australia from certain people who don't believe I belong to this country, maybe because of my colour or the religion that I belong to. That is pretty upsetting,' Dr Faruqi told the BBC in Sydney.

'It does make me question my belonging to Australia, I have to say. I've lived here now for almost as much time as I lived in Pakistan.

'Australia, I have to say, has always had systemic racism. Let's not forget our first people. And they still suffer all sorts of discrimination.'

'I think people do appreciate that we are exposing these issues and, of course, it is quite cathartic for myself and my staff as well,' she said.

What's that you say about your Australian-systemic-racism-busting credentials Ms taxpayer funded representative of the NSW people?

I've lived here now for almost as much time as I lived in Pakistan.

Almost as much time hey?

It's a bit bloody rich for an Australian taxpayer funded representative to go out of her way to appear on the BBC - in order to tell the world how racist Australia is.

Particularly when she says not a word about the country she was born in and in which she spent more of her life than Australia.

This is a photo of a typical classroom in Muslim Pakistan.

That translates as:

"Any (Muslim) who stops praying becomes a 'Kafir' (infidel), and so his murder is justified"

Source:

But nothing about Kafirs, infidels, apostates or proper Muslims in good standing from The Greens MP from Pakistan.

And nothing from her online as far as I can see about the lynch mob which turned Pakistani journalism student Mashal Khan into a bloody pulp two days ago.

Mashal Khan’s last tweet before jihadi Islamists murdered him to please Allah was on April 5, 2017, where he posted a rather cryptic message:

A0FB7F57-7F0C-4D75-9BB9-1C1A2A81F6E4

“If u r looking for tissues at a DuaneReade and someone asks u if u need help, tell him u r looking for sneeze catchers.” He isn’t around anymore otherwise I would have asked the young man to decipher his riddle.

As Tarek Fatah says on his blog "Something tells me Mashal Khan didn’t have any virgins waiting for him in Paradise".

The video of the mob killing in the name of Allah is here - it's horrible.

So we cop a lecture from a half-baked expert on "systemic racism" in our country who has spent almost as much time here as in her native Pakistan.

Ms Faruqi doesn't tell us what caste she is.

How are we to know what respect she is due?

What is the value of what she says?

It's impossible to make a judgement without knowing her pre-determined caste in polite Pakistani society.

I've had about a gutful of people who put the pinch on us for money then go out of their way to tell the world how bad we are.

Talk about someone from a glass house who shouldn't be throwing stones.

Ms Faruqi MP you should be bloody ashamed of yourself.

Australia has problems but it's a shining beacon of reward for effort and equal opportunity compared to the shit-hole from whence you came.

I don't know Ms Faruqi but I hope to God her plans do not include proposals to bring more lifestyles of the Pakistanis here - which seems to be the plan for Canada where another young woman MP is doing her best to bugger the joint up, just like home.
