In the 40 years I was working, at no time can I ever remember seeing anyone take time off to pray, or anyone asking " where is the prayer room ? ".

We went to work to...well, work. Religion was very rarely mentioned or brought up in discussion, apart from ribald jokes and harmless " slinging off " at some of the more weird religious activities.

Then, along came Islam...

How could you employ a Muslim...5 times a day, they shoot through for "prayer "...and insist on their own space to do this. I have a friend who used to work in a railway workshop. A few muslim employees arrived, and the next thing, the bitching started..." We want a prayer room and a separate lunch room ". Apparently, they could not sit in the staff lunch room, lest some infidel arrive with a bacon burger. In the middle of a job, that had time constraints...they downed tools to pray.

And guess what...they got all they asked for, no questions asked. How bloody stupid and weak are we going to get before the penny drops with out spineless leaders.
