Hizb ut Tahrir anticipated Erdogan and his Islamists destroying Anzac monuments one year ago

This is from Bill Thomson

Here are two photo, one of which I took at Anzac Cove on 11 May 2015, when my wife & I visited Gallipoli. It’s said to quote Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s historic words of comfort to all the mothers, from all lands, whose sons died there in 1915. I’ve just seen another photo which reportedly is of the same monument, after recent “refurbishments”, perhaps on the instructions of current Turkish strongman, Recip Erdogan.

I think we are living through grim times, with more in the years ahead.

There are two schools of commentary about this - one that it's Erdogan and his Islamist mates rewriting history and two that it's innocent refurbishment.

What do you know?

Last March I reported on Hizb ut Tahrir's global conference in Ankara Turkey centred on the destruction post World War One of the Ottoman Caliphate.

These documents are as posted by Hizb ut Tahrir - clearly they have some influence in Turkey.

It beggars belief that Turnbull could say what he did about the Caliphate - but say it he did.  He at least makes it clear whose side he is on.

The removal of the secular Kamel Attaturk's warm and fond words stating the Islamic Turks and our soldiers are equals is consistent with the aims of Turnbull and Hizb ut Tahrir.

First up here's Ismail "kill the Jew" al Wah Wah and the lads ready to rewrite a bit of history in Ankara last year.

After the Lausanne Treaty in 1923, the British Foreign Secretary, Lord Curzon, allegedly stated,

“We must put an end to anything which brings about any Islamic unity between the sons of the Muslims. The situation now is that Turkey is dead and will never rise again, because we have destroyed its moral strength, the Caliphate and Islam.”

Rasulallah (saw) said, in a hadith reported in Sahih Muslim, "the knots of Islam will be undone one by one, each time a knot is undone the next one will be grasped, the first to be undone will be the ruling and the last will be the prayer."

Today, the Ummah continues to suffer from the devastating loss of its Caliphate 92 years ago, with the Muslim lands split into over 50 countries, ruled by secular dictatorships and petrol-rich kingdoms.

Join us on Saturday night as we discuss the fall of the Khilafah, and the consequent effect this had on Muslims around the world

Historic Khilafah Conference held in Ankara, Turkey

Historic Khilafah Conference held in Ankara, Turkey

Hizb ut-Tahrir Turkey has held a historically significant Khilafah Conference in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Sunday the 6th of March 2016, two days after the anniversary of the abolition of the Khilafah (3rd March 1924).

The Conference is significant for its being held less than a kilometer away from the site of the Turkish Assembly which in 1924 officially proclaimed the abolition of the Caliphate. It is also significant for it is signals significant progress on the part of Hizb ut-Tahrir and the Islamic revival generally in the country – after decades of militant secularism, Islam is increasingly the lens through which people view the world and the increasingly popularity of the idea of the Khilafah is one manifestation of this ongoing change.

Turkish authorities and governments going decades back (including that of Erdogan) have attempted to check the work of Hizb ut-Tahrir through mass arrests, intimidation, torture and propaganda campaigns. The size and nature of this Conference highlights that the strength and size of Hizb ut-Tahrir’s work in Turkey is now beyond the point of being able to be stopped through arrests and raids. Its essential argument is now being carried by thousands of dedicated members, and acknowledged by many more in the population.

Below are some videos and pictures from the Conference. We ask Allah (swt) to bless the ummah in Turkey and globally.
