Senator David Leyonhjelm takes DFAT to task over Palestine payments

Senator David Leyonhjelm is singularly impressive in his quizzing of DFAT officials here - I should add that Senator Eric Abetz was similarly on the ball too.

12 months ago we brought the issue of DFAT funding Australian trade unions to in turn send money to the Middle East to your attention:

http://www.michaelsmithnews.com/2017/05/unions-get-24m-from-bishops-dfat-for-foreign-aid-funding-projects-include-for-free-time-for-beiruit-.html

And in January this year we published this quite specific detail about DFAT's funding to the Palestinian authority and its subsequent payments to the families of suicide bombers and other terrorists:

http://www.michaelsmithnews.com/2018/01/julie-bishops-44m-pa-australia-seeks-to-align-its-support-with-the-palestinian-authoritys-pa-objecti.html

It's taken Ms Bishop 5 months to wake up to herself.
