I can't recall many times I've been on the same sheet as Shorten - even fewer for the CFMMEU.

It takes a special kind of stupid for Turnbull and Cash to have manoeuvred themselves into this position.

Theirs is a haughty arrogance borne of entitlement and lack of judgement.

It's unforgivable for supposedly conservative politicians to be outdone on probity by Labor and their mates.

But that's precisely what Turnbull and Cash have done.

So far up themselves they didn't see or didn't care about the consequences of what they were doing.
