For many years Australia has maintained a defence presence in Malaysia.

We fought there.

We helped trained local troops.

We used to have planes there.

We were there to project our defence capabilities.

Now we're exporting - gender studies.

The ADF in Malaysia has its own Twitter presence.

It features an RAAF logo.

And this bumbling, gibbering idiot.

A fighting soldier sent me the tip on this with these prescient words:
