Today's importance in Australia's history - from my mate WO1 John Franklin
Friday, 24 August 2018
John and I joined the Australian Regular Army in January, 1978.
Politics and politicians come and go.
Mateship, honour and the best military traditions will never fade.
We remember the supreme sacrifice made by Lance Corporal Jarred MacKinney of the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment.
We remember the gallantry of his mate Corporal Dan Keighran VC.
And we remember that there are some things that are much, much more important than what the main stream media reports on.
Lest We Forget.
