Turnbull's prediction NSW Liberal electoral hopes "destroyed by chaos in Canberra"

It was always about Malcolm.

Thank goodness no one listened.

Malcolm Turnbull urges Scott Morrison to call a March federal election

Malcolm Turnbull has told Prime Minister Scott Morrison to call a poll for early March to prevent NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian's re-election bid being destroyed by the chaos in Canberra.

In his second public intervention in less than 24 hours, the former prime minister challenged the government's timetable for an election in May, and did not deny reports he told a NSW MP that Mr Morrison is only interested "in keeping his arse in C1" - a reference to the prime ministerial limousine.

"There are a lot of people in NSW, a lot of NSW Liberals, who believe it would be in the party's interests for the federal government to go to an election before the NSW government's set election date of March 23 so that Gladys Berejiklian, who is leading an outstanding government of real and considerable achievement, can go to the polls and [be] judged on her record rather than being hit by the brand damage that arose from the very destructive, pointless, shameful leadership change in Canberra in August," Mr Turnbull told Radio National on Monday morning.

"Plainly the Prime Minister's determination is to stay in government as long as he possibly can."

Really Malcolm?

Congratulations Premier

What a gracious speech.

Full of thank-you's to other people and not a trace triumphalism or hubris.

Gladys Berejiklian was born in Australia to a family of migrants who spoke only their native Armenian at home, Ms Berejiklian didn't speak English at all when she started school at age 5 (I'd originally misreported that the Premier was born overseas, that was wrong, my apologies).

What an inspiring personal success story.

So how do feminists and those on the left who talk about advancing women and immigrants feel about Premier Berejiklian's achievement?

Let's hand over to Jane Caro. Screen Shot 2019-03-24 at 6.56.51 am

Congratulations to Mark Latham and Pauline Hanson's One Nation on NSW election win

Congratulations to Mark Latham for his win in the NSW Upper House election.

Latham was kind enough to thank us for taking his policies seriously.

One Nation had policies and plans - and Latham clearly listened to the people.
