Apparently it was all a big misunderstanding - once it hit the papers.

Even though the worker thought he was suspended, and even though his pass was de-activated, his desk was cleared and his personal belongings were delivered to his home - it was all a big mix-up. Just an accident. One of those things.

Bill Shorten now says he's all for free speech in the workplace.

Just like Julia Gillard was with me.
