So the Chief of Army is having a conference - presumably to discuss military matters with our partners.

But our partners aren't our military allies.

It's chocka with Christopher Pyne and Marise Payne - either flogging weapons/equipment or inviting tenders.

And most of the acquisition stuff points to the private website www.pyneonline.com.au

Now to the Australian Army's proud presenting "partner"

It's a charity that pays no tax..... 

...but earned $2.2M on $5M turnover in the only year for which a financial report is available, doing among other things, the pumping up of politicians tyres!

The friendly folk at the Government's charities commission have decided the mates at ADSA Ltd don't need to furnish us with any more financial reports.......

So the financial extract above comes from the only financial document I could find on them.

This entity might have started out with all good intentions.

But its constitution has recently been updated.

And it seems to me with its involvement in "partnership" with the Australian Army and it clear cut role in promoting Pyne and others - it's descended into some murky depths.

Note that its conference is being held in Adelaide.

And I for one am disgusted at the same Rising Sun badge that our Anzacs fought and died for  being displayed on the same level as this tawdry bunch of commercial and political carpetbaggers.

No wonder Pyne wanted Defence - look at the business names this "charity" is involved with:

Ministers and Assistant Ministers are entrusted with the conduct of public business and must act in a manner that is consistent with the highest standards of integrity and propriety.

They are required to act in accordance with the law, their oath of office and their obligations to the Parliament.

In addition to those requirements, it is vital that Ministers and Assistant Ministers conduct themselves in a manner that will ensure public confidence in them and in the government.

Forget the private websites lads.

The government has plenty of websites and people to manage them.

Taxpayers were taken for a ride by Turnbull who saw his "public service" through the lens of www.malcolmturnbull.com.au.

Even the hint of taxpayer funded stuff being promoted in private forums is tawdry and cheap.

Ministers wouldn't get away with running a consultancy on the side - with that consultancy out there 'helping' guide tenderers to the juiciest contracts.

A minister's personal website isn't that much different.

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's please chaps.
