I think it's important to understand what humans are capable of - and to learn the lessons of history.

Joachim Hirsch (born 13 May 1937 in Breslau, Germany) was murdered in a gas chamber of the Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp on 6 October 1944.

Exactly 75 years ago today (Europe time).

He was 7 years old.
