Sorry Michael. Is it just me? Why would I want to read the ramblings of an indoctrinated little girl with mental issues? Not long ago anyone taking notice of someone like her would have been locked up themselves but now the UN etc treat her as the Messiah. The world has gone mad. She does have special talents though. Economic Systems: The alarmists keep telling us their concern about global warming is all about man's stewardship of the environment. But we know that's not true. A United Nations official has now confirmed this.
At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.
"This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution," she said.
Referring to a new international treaty environmentalists hope will be adopted at the Paris climate change conference later this year, she added: "This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history."
The only economic model in the last 150 years that has ever worked at all is capitalism. The evidence is prima facie: From a feudal order that lasted a thousand years, produced zero growth and kept workdays long and lifespans short, the countries that have embraced free-market capitalism have enjoyed a system in which output has increased 70-fold, work days have been halved and lifespans doubled.
Figueres is perhaps the perfect person for the job of transforming "the economic development model" because she's really never seen it work. "If you look at Ms. Figueres' Wikipedia page," notes Cato economist Dan Mitchell: Making the world look at their right hand while they choke developed economies with their left.

I have a 15 yo who is top in her English classes at one of the top secondary colleges in Melbourne. Why is it that someone that has English as a second, or maybe third, language has a command of language that exceeds that of my daughter. Could it be that none of the words or thoughts that she articulates have anything to do with her? This seems to be child exploitation at the highest level, including exploitation by the strangely titled "United Nations" organisation.

Greta is from a theatrical Swedish family and she is an actress.
Remember the Federal Election in May 2019 when Union Labor GetUp supported candidates (Independent of course) standing against real Liberal MPs? And the news that some of the young people wearing GetUp colours were from a Western Sydney School for students who want to become actors and models.
GetUp is of course a Soros & Associates activist group model of similar organisations they support in other countries.

Interesting story on the ABC's website about a supernova explosion from 9,000 years ago which would have been visible to the indigenous people across Australia.
But, hang on, the story goes on to say that the explosion continued over a few days. Presumably that means it was visible to everyone in the world.
Why this tribalisation of a global event?
The ABC is always desperately keen to impose its preferred angle on even the most routine of stories.

So Greta supports China! I think not as it doesn't meet any of her criteria but I have never heard her utter a word about China. Hers is an attack on Western society for daring to have an opinion on climate change that differs from hers and daring to speak up.
Over the weekend Greta has been announced as author of the year in the UK for her book "No One Is Too Small To Make A Difference". I wonder how real authors in the arts community feel about that. Her book is a book of her speeches, and there is doubt that she is indeed the author of those speeches or others prepared them for her. Such a title "author of the year" didn't exist before now. Waterstones (the bookstore that awarded this award) previously only awarded a book of the year which also honoured the author of a good read.

We are approaching the point where believing scientists on climate change is a much bigger deal than it was before, and bigger than investors and businesses are prepared for.
The current business and political orthodoxy, including the Coalition government and the Business Council of Australia, is that the science is correct and humans have caused dangerous global warming, and that we should meet our Paris commitments in order to prevent disaster, which we are doing.
Except that the scientific consensus is shifting towards requiring much more than Paris. In fact it looks like the scientists have been wrong, way too complacent and as a result, the emissions reductions to which everybody has signed up now look inadequate.
It means that a difficult choice may soon have to be made: continue to say you believe the science, which will require a very expensive and very disruptive transformation of the economy, or start saying you reject the scientists, that you’re only prepared to accept what they were saying before, not what they’re saying now.
Gap report
Last week the UN Environment Programme published its latest “Gap Report”, written and overseen by dozens of climate scientists, which concluded that “if all current unconditional commitments under the Paris Agreement are implemented, temperatures are expected to rise by 3.2°C, bringing even wider-ranging and more destructive climate impacts.”
To meet the 1.5° goal, the level of ambition in the Paris commitments would have to increase five-fold according to the UNEP. In addition, “developed countries will have to reduce their emissions quicker than developing countries, for reasons of fairness and equity”.

There is no climate emergency
A global network of 700 scientists and professionals has prepared this urgent message. Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific. Scientists should openly address uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of their policy measures.
Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming
The geological archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has existed, with natural cold and warm phases. The Little Ice Age ended as recently as 1850. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are experi- encing a period of warming.
Warming is far slower than predicted
The world has warmed at less than half the rate predicted by IPCC on the ba- sis of modeled anthropogenic forcing and radiative imbalance. It tells us that we are far from understanding climate change.
Climate policy relies on inadequate models
Climate models have many shortcomings and are not remotely plausible as global policy tools. They blow up the effect of greenhouse gases such as CO2. In addition, they ignore the fact that enriching the atmosphere with
CO2 is beneficial.
CO2 is plant food, the basis of all life on Earth
CO2 is not a pollutant. It is essential to all life on Earth. Photosynthesis is a blessing. More CO2 is beneficial for nature, greening the Earth: additional CO2 in the air has promoted growth in global plant biomass. It is also good for agriculture, increasing the yields of crops worldwide.
Global warming has not increased natural disasters
There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts and suchlike natural disasters, or making them more fre- quent. However, there is ample evidence that CO2-mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly.
Climate policy must respect scientific and economic realities
There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050. If better approaches emerge, and they certainly will, we have ample time to reflect and re-adapt. The aim of global policy should be ‘prosperity for all’ by providing reliable and affordable energy at all times. In a prosperous society men and women are well educated, birthrates are low and people care about their environment.

A documentary will be made 30 years from now about the rather sad middle aged woman once known as Greta Thunberg. Whichever way the world turns out, she’ll undoubtedly be sad. Either she’ll be sad because her predictions (or, more to the point, those fed to her as a 16 year old by her handlers) will have proven to be true and she’ll be riding out a hand to mouth existence in a post dystopian wasteland, or (far more likely), she’ll just be a very sad case living a hand to mouth existence, forgotten by her current handlers, in a world not a lot different to the one we see today because she never completed her education.

You take a glass of water, you drink the contents, you have created an empty space (void) where once there was something (liquid contents). The glass is not affected because its purpose - to accept, retain and enable orderly access to its contents – has not diminished or changed. The glass remains a glass whether it is empty or full.
You take a human being, you drain them of their belief system, you have created an empty space (void) where once there was something (humanity, morals, structure, purpose). The human being is affected because its purpose – to build and support a just, caring and orderly society - has been both diminished and changed. The “empty” human being reacts differently to the “full” human being.
And because the human being is wired to be without a void this emptiness is an unbearable anathema which cannot be tolerated. And so the human being goes in search of something to fill that void which, ironically, has unthinkingly been created by its very own action of walking away.
As with all things that involve us walking away from something, we walk in the totally opposite direction of what it is that we had. And because for some human beings the void is so unbearable they effectively sprint in the opposite direction. They are so desperate to fill the void that their logic and presence of mind totally fail them and they embrace even the most irrational void filling concept no matter how extreme it might actually be.
They believe their very existence can only be maintained by filling that void so in effect any other person who argues against their void filler is, to them, trying to murder them and so because of this direct personal threat they viciously attack in self-defence.
And that is where the concept of Logotherapy needs the attention of the masses.
Based on Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard’s works, logotherapy was further developed by neurologist and psychiatrist Viktor Frankl. It is considered by some to be the “Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy”. The school of psychotherapy trifecta is made up of:
Will to Power – Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
Will to Pleasure – Sigmund Freud
Will to Meaning – Soren Kierkegaard/Viktor Frankl
The world is out of balance because it is stuck in the will to power (to the individual at the expense of society) and the will to pleasure (gay rights, gender fluidity, open “marriage”) and has turned its back on the will to meaning which only a simple all-embracing belief system can deliver.
And, YES, I acknowledge that in fact the belief system option is presently fractured because it includes diametrically opposed concepts ranging from, the need to kill all those enemies who do not share your belief, all the way to the need to love your enemies. And between those two pendulum extremes sit all the other belief systems.
Maybe “someone” has realised that the carrot has not worked on his creation and so the sticks of power and pleasure are needed to prod renewed action on the meaning carrot. LOL.
People like Greta and organisations such as lgbtwtf/extinction rebellion clearly have a will to power and a will to pleasure but remain empty unfulfilled vessels given their failure to maintain their will to meaning. There is a vast difference between using a single campaign to justify your will to meaning and using your life as your vehicle to deliver your will to meaning.
Greta’s latest outburst which expands (replaces?) what was previously her single most important goal of saving the world from a climate point of view to embracing a multitude of other “ills” shows that even something as big as “saving the world” is not enough to fill her void.
Turn around, run back to what you are running from.
