One of our readers with sage advice for Islam-apologist police forces covering for Muslim atrocities with newspeak
From reader Stuart Hamish:
The UK National Association of Muslim Police proposes to replace Jihadist and Islamist with the Arabic word Irhabi*, alleging current official terminology encouraged Islamophobia, negative perceptions and stereotypes.
Revisionist appellations do not change the facts.
Islamic theological jurisprudence on the meaning of Jihad is in no doubt that, although it can be interpreted as "struggle", Jihad has been recognized - and practiced - for centuries as literal warfare.
Islamic Jihadists are inspired by Islamist philosophers like Sayed Qutb, Hasan al Banna and schools such as the Wahaabi's and Deobandis. More fundamentally, inspiration's drawn from the Quran's Late Medinan Sword Verses and the military ventures of Mohammed chronicled in the Sira and Hadith .
The Global Terrorism Index acknowledges the religious motivations of terrorism and the preponderance of Islamist ideology.
Sunni Islam's most prestigious scholastic institution Al Azhar refused to repudiate the atavistic terrorist organization ISIS as "un-Islamic".
Why might that be?
The UK National Association of Muslim Police - and British policing officialdom - should stop inviting worsening contempt from the public and concern themselves with the very real problem of Islamic extremists employed in the United Kingdom's widely reviled police forces (thanks to a female Muslim detective whistleblower who resigned in disgust and alerted the media).
Orwellian Newspeak and denial of Islamic jihadist ideology are only impediments to theological reform and understanding the unique threat of Islamist terrorism.
Meanwhile here are some passages from Orwell's 1984
"And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed ...then the lie passed into history and became truth....All that was needed was an unending series of victories over your own memories. To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies.....Dont you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thought-crime literally impossible because there will be no words in which to express it".
*in modern Arabic the word for 'terror' derives from irhab which originated from the medieval rahbah, meaning horror and fear. Irhab or terrorism derives from the verb arhaba, which means scared or terrorized, with irhab and irhabi.
