While the rest of Australia deals with 1 million people out of work - and the rest of the media is cutting staff and closing newsrooms, the ABC is celebrating its immunity from reality by playing dress-ups.

Wear it purple this Friday and Rainbow Families on Wednesday.

For most people, these are private interests and pursuits and shouldn't be the focus of work - particularly taxpayer funded work.

Is there a more out of touch organisation?
