‘Fear-mongering’ Daniel Andrews claims not to have seen viral arrest footage
Daniel Andrews claims he has not seen viral footage of a pregnant woman being arrested over a Facebook post and dodged questions about why Black Lives Matters protesters were not targeted in the same manner. The Victorian Premier told media he hadn’t seen the disturbing footage which has had millions of views online and lashed out at media asking for information. “If Sky News is advocating that I should change my position and protests should be allowed, well, it's an interesting day, then, isn't it? Because my position will not be changing,” he said. “With the greatest of respect. I don't quite understand the point of the question. There are rules. We're not gonna change those rules. “Protests are not smart, they're not safe, and they're not lawful. And that's where it's at.” Ballarat mother Zoe-Lee Buhler says she is now “too scared” to attend protests and described Daniel Andrews as “fear-mongering”.
