About this event

Family and friends are invited to Victoria Barracks Sydney with a picnic on the lawn and live music from the Australian Army Band. Gates will open from 1000 so bring your picnic rug and enjoy music in the green space in Victoria Barracks. Please BYO snacks and drink, or support the local cafes and bakeries.

All adults require physical photographic ID at entry.

Supervision is required for any minor under the age of 16.

Indemnity and Release

Please read below for the indemnity and release for open day activities for the Department of Defence. In purchasing a ticket you are accepting the conditions outlined below.

Background

The Department of Defence (‘Defence’) is hosting the activity Music on the Green, at Victoria Barracks Sydney, on 20 2021. (“the Activity”).

In signing this Consent, Indemnity and Release (‘the Form’), I agree to participate in the Activity under the following terms and conditions.

Participation

I agree that I must:At all times, remain under and follow Defence’s supervision and direction during the Activity; and

Not take any photos, film, audiotape or video tape during the Activity.

Acknowledgment

I acknowledge that:

The Activity shall be organised subject to available resources and safety considerations and at the sole discretion of Defence.

Some of the activities undertaken during the Activity involve risks of personal injury and death and I further acknowledge and agree that Defence makes no representation and can give no warranty or guarantee as to my safety during those periods.

Defence retains absolute discretion to deny my participation in the Activity or part of the Activity, or to terminate my participation in the Activity or part of the Activity at any time for any reason whatsoever.

Release and Indemnity

I release Defence and its employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors and volunteers from, and I warrant that I will not make any claim or undertake any proceedings against Defence or its officers, employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors and volunteers for, any direct or indirect loss incurred by me connected with or incidental to this Form and the Activity, except to the extent that a negligent, reckless or deliberate act or omission on the part of Defence contributed to that loss.

I will indemnify Defence and its officers employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors and volunteers from and against any direct or indirect loss, damage or liability that they may sustain or incur, arising from any claim, suit, demand, action or proceedings by any person against them in respect of my participation in the Activity, or otherwise arising as a consequence of this Form, except to the extent that an unlawful, negligent, reckless or deliberate act or omission on the indemnified party’s part contributed to that loss.

Medical Information

You represent and agree that:Except as described below, I do not, to the best of my knowledge, have any condition, disability or impairment that could make me unfit or incapable of participating in the Activity or that could materially increase the safety risk to me or to anyone else from participating in the Activity. I will notify Defence immediately should I be aware of or become aware of any injury, illness or condition that may affect my participation in the activity.

I will attend any applicable medical briefings with respect to the Activity.
