There's money in China and money in conferences.

Where money flows, carpet-bags filled with snake-oil follow.  Snake-oil doesn't sell itself, it needs  people who are committed to excellence, passionate about diversity and oriented towards total solutions packages that are at once hard and soft or tough but humane or something someone said once that sounded great.

People like Jack Rascovic, or Lubo Rascovic or Sunny Amit.  Or Craig Thomson.

Craig was spruiking for Xbauxi Pty Ltd - a Sino-sounding concern which has cornered a unique position that will render it impervious to the efforts of pretenders trying to imitate its uniqueness.

Its primary asset appears to be a one page website which features two elements.  The first is a mining-looking photo from Google, the second is this literary marvel:

Lubo Lubinko Raskovic

ASIC disqualified security industry consultant, Mr Lubo Lubinko Raskovic, of Baulkham Hills, New South Wales, from managing corporations for four years.

Mr Raskovic’s disqualification follows an ASIC investigation into his role in three failed companies, Divisional Security (Aust) Pty Ltd, Bend Congeal Pty Ltd and Ballace Pty Ltd.

ASIC’s investigation found that Mr Raskovic allowed all three companies to trade while insolvent. Further, ASIC found that he used his position as a director of Divisional Security (Aust) Pty Ltd and Ballace Pty Ltd to the detriment of both companies.

Jack Rascovic has vacated his LinkedIn page, it sits there eerily empty of content - like so much of the Xbauxi et al story.

Every touch, however, appears to have left a trace - because the first Google Image for a Jack Raskovic of Australia delivers a photo of this man:

He has credentials that sound marvellous and are highly valued by people like Jack Rascovic, Sunny et al.    Parliamentarian, head of Australia's Parliamentary Economics Committee, lawyer - just leave out all the shit stuff about that Liberal Party political witch-hunt and the corrupt judicial system and the bullshit conviction.   So, yeah.   What time is the cocktail party?

We wrote about Craig Thomson's new job with the Wickerman Group in May last year.

The Wickerman Group Pty Ltd is a $1 Pty Ltd Coy whose secretary and sole director is 2GB's most successful former romance and divorce consultant Zoe Arnold.  

After a time, or a few times, Zoe left 2GB and went to work for Reba Meagher and John Della Bosca and Tony Sheldon and, well the Labor Party and stuff.

And Zoe met Craig around the time another gentleman actually repaid the union for those times that......it wasn't Craig's signature for a start.

And Zoe and Craig got the Bateau Bay house and the first home buyers bonuses that everyone is entitled to on their first and possibly second, third/maybe fourth homes.

And Craig got $400,000 out of Labor and free trips on holidays and stuff.

Disgraced former federal MP Craig Thomson running migrant placement scheme

Disgraced former federal MP Craig Thomson is running a migrant worker placement business from his home base on the NSW central coast, offering incentives which appear to exploit loopholes in laws designed to crack down on the abuse of visa schemes in regional Australia.

Mr Thomson - who last year said he was too broke to repay his former union hundreds of thousands of dollars he owes it for credit card abuse - is offering cafes and restaurants near his home several thousand dollars to take workers on temporary 457 visas or via the more permanent Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme.

Mr Thomson refused to tell Fairfax Media where he was getting the money to pay employers. But his business appears to be operating in a "grey zone" , according to some experts, because of recent bans on the payment of inducements in relation to migrant worker sponsorship.

The RSMS is designed to help regional employers hire migrant labour for specialised jobs when they can't find qualified employees locally. When a business has successfully a sponsored a migrant under the scheme, that worker can apply for a class 187 visa, valuable because it offers permanent residency with the ability to bring in family members. It is thus more highly sought after than 457 temporary worker visas.

Julie Bishop's department has conned us into believing all its dealings with the CHAI have been on a fee for service basis, where our money has been used only for the purposes we've earmarked it for.

This memo is reasonably solid proof that the Clinton Foundation has been misleading us.

Erskine Bowles is an American businessman who served as Bill Clinton's Chief of Staff during his presidency and more recently as an advisor to Clinton.

In this email to Bill Clinton on the "Ira" (Magaziner) issue, Bowles is reviewing documents regarding the Clinton Health Access Initiative, a "management letter" from the CHAI to Bill Clinton and Clinton's proposed response.

Bowles makes note of this extraordinary misuse of $23M in "restricted grant" money paid to the Clinton Health Access Initiative by donors (like the Australian Government) which the CHAI used for other purposes.  He also notes that had the CHAI not been bailed out, it was "on the brink of disaster" ie insolvent and heading for winding up.

He may be referring to the CHAI 1, the entity the Australian Government signed an MOU with on 22 February 2006.  Or CHAI 2, the entity Julie Bishop signed a replacement MOU with in September 2014.  Either way it's disastrous that we were contracting with an entity purportedly delivering services on our behalf that was so mismanaged.

How does a charity lose $23M of restricted grant money? What controls were in place?  How were the controls so ineffective?  Where were the auditors?

Was the Australian Government informed of the financial position?  If not, why not?  What action did the Australian Government take to inform itself after I wrote to it pointing out the deficiencies I'd discovered in the CF and CHAI contracts with us?

These are very serious questions.   We have been defrauded by conmen.  And our government is covering it up.

The Australian Government has received plenty of warnings about the Clinton Foundation and its HIV/Aids Initiative from me.  The mismanagement, the Massachusetts regulators dissolution of the entity we contracted with and its replacement with a 2nd CHAI in what appears to have been an attempt at passing off should have triggered substantial enquiries on taxpayers behalf long ago.

Apparently Julie has had other things on her mind.
