Senators - over to you. Does a strip club have higher moral standards than The Senate?

On Monday, we wrote to the Chair of the Senate Committee of Privileges to ask that it take action on Lidia Thorpe's vile, drunken and publicly abusive behaviour outside a Melbourne strip club in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Yesterday the Committee's secretary replied to our report:

So it's up to our Senators to refer Senator Thorpe over her atrocious behaviour.

A footy team wouldn't cop it from a football player.

The strip club has banned Thorpe.

So how can the Senate tolerate her behaviour without sanction?

Surely among Senators Pauline Hanson, Malcolm Roberts, Jacqui Lambie, Alex Antic and others there is enough pride in the institution of the Senate to call out and sanction Thorpe.
