Sophie Black is straight from central-casting for the Crikey editorship.

A committed leftist.

Employment history of a bit of ‘human rights journalism’, a dabble in the academic journalism world, did some writing for The Guardian - classic inner suburban (read: Greens) values.

Typically like the Left, she’s intolerant of other people’s views.

Like those of Guy Rundle - an equally peculiar person who regularly contributes to the low-subscription Crikey newsletter.

Rundle had the hide to suggest that Australia should know the full details of the Brittany Higgins big money settlement.

Hardly an earth shattering view.

Sophie Black pulled the article claiming that “the excellent work of our journalists and contributors was undermined and overshadowed by the understandable reaction to this column”.

To put it bluntly, a call for the truth to come out, undermined Crikey’s view of the situation.

Wow.
