Craig Thomson GUILTY. Again.
Wednesday, 16 August 2023
Former Central Coast Labor MP Craig Robert Thomson has been sentenced after pleading guilty to breaching an apprehended violence order (AVO) taken out by police to protect his estranged ex-wife Zoe Arnold.
The 59-year-old, of Narara, faced Gosford Local Court on Tuesday where he entered pleas of guilty to two counts of breaching an AVO on the day of his hearing.
Thomson’s lawyer told the court the two breaches were “relatively minor”, neither involved any threats or violence and were both, in a way, initiated by Ms Arnold.
The court heard there was an AVO in place in 2022, in which any contact between the former federal Labor MP for Dobell and his ex-wife Ms Arnold — who was in the process of leaving him — was to go through a mediator.
