The ABC’s ratings flop Q&A now bussing people in to fill an audience.
Bad look when they can’t even pull a crowd for the suburb next door to the ABC’s last stronghold, lefty public servant infested Canberra.
Patricia really has run this one into the ground.
When will the ABC hipsters in management realise, she’s audience poison.
Another great editorial from our mate Viv Forbes - Welcome The Warmth!

Welcome the Warmth
At dawn today (30th July) mid-winter in sunny Queensland, it was zero degrees on the lawn outside our kitchen and the small water tub for our chooks was iced over.
Every morning, as soon as it gets light, Judy puts a winter coat over her jamas, adds gloves, glasses, rubber boots, a beanie and a walking stick (icy grass is very slippery). She then trudges down the hill to check any new-born lambs and then lets the sheep out of their dingo-proof night-camp into their paddock for the day. As soon as they are let out, they dribble into a long line and, led by the wisest old ewe, they wend their way across the frosty flat and then make their way up the hill to the highest point facing the morning sun.
Unlike Green politicians, sheep are not stupid. They know that warm air rises so in winter they camp at the highest point they can find. And in cold mornings, they try to catch the early rising sun.
Here are some Canadian Damara sheep wishing they were in Mexico:
This picture was taken by our friend Helmut Lang in Canada. Can you imagine Canadians being scared by the prospect of a bit more global warming? Has the whole world lost its wits?
Our house was not built by stupid people - we call it “Hilltop” and it faces North – it usually stays above the frost line in winter. And not all residents of Victoria are stupid either – in winter hundreds of them clog up our highways, heading north to follow the sun. Maybe they are like cattle caught in a snow storm - just drifting north before that cold southerly wind blowing icy air up from the Antarctic?
Al Gore and his Green disciples bleat about the imaginary “dangers of global warming”. They should check where life flourishes – is it in the equatorial zones or at the icy poles? Are there more people in Nome, Alaska or in Mexico City? And if atmospheric CO2 controls temperature, both places should be about equally warm? Maybe it is the amount of heat received from the sun and not CO2 that is the main driver of global temperatures?
And even if they fear global warming, they do not need to cripple our electricity generators here with their green energy nonsense – they should just move South to the Snowy Mountains; or buy a house facing the Roaring Forties at Cape Grim in Tasmania; or even slip down to Invercargill in New Zealand for a permanent cure for those with a chronic dose of global warming syndrome.
Green Pied Pipers and the lemmings who follow them started the ‘”Global Warming Scare”. These foolish politicians and their alarmist media mates know more about political science than they know about climate science.
As each of their forecasts fail, they change their chant – “global warming” becomes “climate change” then it becomes “wild weather” - all promoted, not by meteorologists, but by propagandists in government media units.
Anyone with an ounce of knowledge about Earth history knows that the Mammoths did not die of heat stroke – they were entombed rapidly in ice. And even Saint Greta should know that the real danger to life on Earth is not global warming but global cooling and the inevitable return of the suffocating ice sheets. Here is what an ancient Scandinavian legend says:
A long time ago
the universe was made of ice.
Then one day the ice began to melt,
and a mist rose into the sky.
Out of the mist
came a giant made of frost,
And the Earth and the heavens
were made from his body.
This is how the world began
and that is how the world will end,
not by fire
but by ice.
The seas will freeze,
and winters will never end.
Geologic evidence shows there have been many ice ages. However, as the above legend shows, only rare tribal memories go back further than the last ice age. Despite the shrill forecasts of dangerous global warming from Al Gore’s Gang, there are many signs that we are past the peak of the Holocene Warming. It is the next cycle of global cooling we have to fear.
For example, in Greenland, “The Lost Squadron” travelling from USA to Britain in 1942 was forced to land on the Greenland Ice sheet. Two B-17 bombers and six P-38 Lightnings ran out of fuel and crash-landed on the Greenland ice sheet.
The crews abandoned the planes. The planes were rediscovered 50 years later using steam boring machines. They were buried under 268 feet of ice. (In 2002 a recovered and restored P-38 flew again.)
Our family ancestors learned about weather.
Mine came from Britain and Denmark. Some went to Dunedin in far south New Zealand. There they started to die out and decided to move again – to sunny Queensland.
Judy’s ancestors started living around Armidale in NSW but also found it too cold and migrated north to Sarina in North Queensland (every winter her sheep wish she had stayed in the warmth of north Queensland.)

Marles to decide on stripping our Afghanistan veterans of medals, honours and decorations 'soon, before the election'
Wednesday, 31 July 2024
Why are the big bosses always protected species?
Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles has confirmed a decision will be made about stripping medals from Australian Defence Force personnel, before the next election.
The Ministry for Defence confirmed that a decision regarding those accused of conducting war crimes in Afghanistan would be made ‘before the election’ and ‘soon’, earlier this week. The date of the next Federal Election has not been confirmed, but is expected before May next year.
The discussion follows the release findings from the 2020 Brereton inquiry, which investigated alleged war crimes committed by Australian Defence Force during the War in Afghanistan between 2005 and 2016.
Former Chief of the Australian Defence Force Angus Campbell had also reportedly written to current and former ADF members notifying that honours for distinguished and conspicuous service on warlike operations could be withdrawn.
“I will be making the decision before the election, I can tell you that. I'll be making that decision soon,” Deputy PM Marles said during an interview with Sky News on July 28.
“Just to be clear, this is a decision not in relation to the person (Ben Roberts-Smith) that you mentioned, but in relation to those who had command authority.
“That is a process that I've wanted to go through thoroughly to make sure that we get the answers to this right.
“It is one that has been on my desk and we've been going through in an enormous amount of detail, but it won't be long before we are able to make those decisions and certainly, they'll be made before the election.”
Earlier this month, the Australian Government reportedly unveiled compensation plans for families of victims unlawfully killed or abused by Australian special forces in Afghanistan. A newly established Afghanistan Inquiry Compensation Advocate will assess claims referred by the Chief of Defence Force, but final decisions rest with the CDF.
The Deputy PM also encouraged patience as another inquiry continues into the 2023 Lindeman Island MRH-90 Taipan crash, in which four Australian Army aircrew were lost, on 28 July 2023.
The crash, in which an Australian Army MRH-90 Taipan helicopter impacted waters near Lindeman Island during a night-time training activity as part of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023, recently passed its first anniversary this month.
“This is a significant day. It's a very difficult day for the families of Captain Lyon, Lieutenant Nugent, Warrant Officer Laycock and Corporal Naggs,” according to the Deputy PM.
“These four Australians, who had given great service to our country wearing our nation's uniform, lost their lives a year ago. I know that this is a really difficult day for their families, for the 6th Aviation Regiment, of which they were a part.
“And it's a reminder that the work that our men and women who wear our uniform do is dangerous, even when they're engaging in exercises and their service, and indeed, their sacrifice is as meaningful as that of anyone who has worn our nation's uniform.
“The inquiry in relation to this proceeds, it needs to take the time that it takes because we need to find out what happened here and we need to learn the lessons.
“It's really important that those lessons are learnt for future safety. And we don't do that off the back of speculation, we do it off the back of facts and this is just going to take the time that it takes. But obviously we work with the families to let them know how the investigations are proceeding and they will continue to go on until we get the answers behind this terrible tragedy.”

The Palestinian government will pay $16.4 million a month to imprisoned terrorists and their families, including nearly 900 Gaza-based fighters captured by Israeli forces in the wake of Hamas's Oct. 7 terror attack, a watchdog group found.
Payments by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to imprisoned terrorists have risen by $2 million a month, and are being reliably doled out even as the West Bank-based government teeters on the brink of financial collapse, according to watchdog group Palestinian Media Watch. The PA has recognized thousands of those terrorists as eligible for "pay-to-slay" payments in the wake of Oct. 7, including 899 who were captured in Gaza in recent months.
All told, "9,750 terrorist prisoners are now recognized by the PA as eligible for monthly terror rewards, up from 4,300 prior to October 7," according to Palestinian Media Watch, which tracks the PA's terrorist payment system. The watchdog group "calculates that once the processing of the new prisoners is complete, the PA will be paying a minimum of 59,560,000 shekels (about $16.4 million) a month in salaries to terrorist prisoners, up from 52,000,000 shekels (about $14.3 million) a month prior to October 7."
The payment scheme, buoyed by international aid dollars, is one of the primary reasons that Republican officials want to cut off U.S. aid to the Palestinians, which has totaled upwards of $1.5 billion since America began pumping humanitarian aid into the war-torn Gaza Strip. Prior to Oct. 7, the Biden administration pushed through plans to send millions of dollars to the Palestinian government as part of its drive to reignite the peace process with Israel and prop up the fledgling PA.
In the nine months since war broke out with Hamas, the PA has consistently added new terrorists to its pay-to-slay program. Another 899 terrorists captured in Gaza were recently "recognized by the Palestinian Authority as prisoners, ... and 9,750 terrorists are now recognized by the PA as prisoners from PA-controlled areas," according to Palestinian Media Watch's latest analysis.
Those figures are likely to continue increasing as Israel captures Hamas fighters and other would-be terrorists operating in the West Bank.
As of January, for example, the PA had recognized 661 terrorists from Gaza and a total of 8,000 prisoners. The latest spike indicates the PA has no intention of stopping these payments, and views the Hamas fighters captured by Israel as its financial responsibility.
This is likely to complicate U.S. ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas that are aimed at freeing those still being held hostage by the Iran-backed terror group. The latest proposal reportedly places the PA at the helm of any Gaza reconstruction effort.
"The Israeli government would need to allow the Palestinian Authority to have a role in governing Gaza and agree to a political process based on the two-state solution," according to details of the framework published Tuesday by Axios. The United States would also reportedly play a leadership role.
There are also lingering questions about how the United States would fund the Palestinian government’s ruling authority in Gaza. U.S. law currently prohibits taxpayer funds from being awarded to the PA until it ends the pay-to-slay program. The law has not stopped the Biden administration from funneling U.S. aid to the Palestinian government, creating a flashpoint between the Democratic White House and Republican foreign policy leaders in Congress.
The Palestinian government, meanwhile, is signaling that it has no intention of stopping its terrorism incentive program.
"Among the thousands of terrorists arrested from Hamas-controlled Gaza, 238 have been recognized by the PA as prisoners since January, and the number of individuals that the PA recognizes as prisoners overall has increased by 950 since January," Palestinian Media Watch found.
While conservative estimates place the total expenditures on terrorists at around $16 million, "the total PA payment for terrorist prisoners is far higher because these sums only represent how much single prisoners with no children receive in their first year of incarceration." It also does not include an "accounting for how the salaries increase over time or the additions for wives, children, and Israeli residency."
The PA also recently recognized Hamas’s death toll figures in Gaza, which list "38,983 Martyrs since October 7," according to Palestinian Media Watch. These families are now eligible to receive a one-time payment of around $1,600 and a subsequent monthly allowance of $385 for life.
Palestinian officials guarantee those payments will be made, even as the government struggles to pay its own bills and employees. Muhammad Hamida, a PA economy minister, said earlier this month that pay cuts are necessary to continue paying terrorists and their families.
"While we as [public] employees received a salary at a rate of 50 percent, before the [Gaza] war, the families of the prisoners and Martyrs [i.e., terrorists] received a full salary," Hamida said. "The Palestinian leadership remains committed to this. It deducted amounts from regular employees and gave a full salary to the families of the prisoners and Martyrs."
Obscene.
